I had a mixed experience during my week-long stay at the Maninarakorn Hotel. The old section offered spacious rooms, though the amenities were lacking and the bathrooms could be tricky for taller guests. However, I enjoyed the friendly staff and access to the pool and other amenities in the new section.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms varied greatly in size and style. My suite in the old section was large but had some quirks for taller people, while the room in the new section was smaller yet more modern and functional.
Service
9.0
The staff were generally friendly and helpful. I appreciated the two complimentary drinks each day, which was a nice touch.
Location
10.0
The hotel’s location is ideal. It’s just a short walk to the night market and central nightlife areas, making it convenient for exploring the city.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast had great potential with made-to-order omelettes and fresh fruit. However, some improvements could be made, like adding more variety to suit different tastes.
Facilities
6.0
Although I enjoyed access to the pool and fitness area, I was disappointed that the steam rooms were out of order during my stay. Overall, the facilities were decent but could use some updates.

6.0/10

I had a mixed experience at Maninarakorn Hotel during my stay. The location is great, and the spacious rooms were clean, but there were several issues that made my visit less enjoyable. From the lack of proper maintenance to awkwardly designed bathrooms, I left feeling more frustrated than satisfied.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms are spacious and clean, but they feel quite dated and in need of refurbishment. I also found it odd that there was no shower door, which left the bathroom floor always soaking wet. I appreciated the fridge in my room, but overall, it didn't feel as comfortable as I'd hoped.
Service
5.0
While some staff members were friendly and helpful, I encountered issues with the management regarding breakfast options. I felt there was a lack of support when it came to addressing other problems too. The taxi service I needed wasn't available, which added to my frustrations.
Location
7.0
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the old city and markets, which was a highlight of my stay. However, the lack of lifts made it a hassle to carry my luggage up narrow stairs, especially since I was on the third floor.
Dining
5.0
I found the breakfast options very limited and not appealing—only omelettes and pineapple on offer. There was a great coffee shop nearby that I ended up going to instead, which saved my mornings.
Facilities
5.0
The amenities were basic, and the overall upkeep of the hotel seemed lacking. It felt more like an older type of accommodation rather than a well-maintained boutique experience I was expecting.

7.2/10

I had a decent stay at Maninarakorn Hotel. The spacious rooms were a plus, and the location was convenient, being just a short walk from the Bazaar. However, the cleanliness and maintenance left something to be desired, as I noticed some issues, especially in the older section of the hotel. Overall, it's a good value for the price if you manage your expectations. 😊

Rooms
8.0
The rooms are spacious, featuring a living area, a bedroom, and a decent bathroom, but the cleanliness could be improved.
Service
6.0
While most staff were not very helpful and there was a language barrier, some were friendly and accommodating when approached.
Location
9.0
The location is great, just a five-minute walk to the Bazaar and close to various shops and bars.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were rather limited, and breakfast was quite poor with a lack of choices, but there's a great coffee shop nearby for better alternatives.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were okay, including access to a pool and fitness area, but the pool cleanliness could use attention.

6.6/10

My stay at Maninarakorn Hotel in Chiang Mai was mixed. The rooms were quite spacious and comfortable, but the service left a lot to be desired. I dealt with some issues such as inconsistent hot water and breakfast options that were very limited, which made my experience less enjoyable.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were spacious and comfortable, but my first room had a faulty air conditioner and I moved to another room that smelled of cigarettes. Better options were difficult to find.
Service
5.0
Unfortunately, the service was rude and unhelpful during my stay. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unable to address my concerns satisfactorily.
Location
7.0
Location-wise, the hotel was fine. It was about a 10-minute walk to the Night Bazaar and close to several restaurants, which I appreciated.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was quite disappointing. There were hardly any options available, and the quality didn’t match the price I paid.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel has some good facilities but lacked upkeep. The pool was nice, though it was a bit cold for my taste.

My stay at Maninarakorn Hotel was a mixed bag. While the location was convenient and the rooms were clean, the experience was marred by unhelpful staff and some disappointing amenities. I appreciated the nearby cafe with friendly service, but the overall vibe of the hotel fell short of my expectations.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were spacious and clean, but they lacked some modern amenities like English movie channels, which was disappointing during my long stay.
Service
5.0
Unfortunately, the service was lacking. Most of the reception staff were unfriendly and rarely greeted me with a smile. It really affected my overall experience.
Location
7.0
The hotel is conveniently located, just a 5-minute walk to the night bazaar and close to major temples. However, the lack of an elevator made moving between floors cumbersome.
Dining
5.0
I found the hotel dining options to be quite poor, especially breakfast, which had limited choices. Thankfully, there was a great cafe right outside with a better selection.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel had some facilities like laundry and a pool, I didn’t find them appealing or cost-effective compared to nearby alternatives.
